GLORIA JEAN'S KIOSK

Gloria Jeans coffee is a franchise that has been established for approximately 30 years. Starting originally in the USA, the group now have over 800 stores in more than 20 countries around the world.

In 1995 one of the current owners of Gloria Jeans Australia visited the USA and returned with the right to franchise Gloria Jeans Coffees throughout Australia.

Gloria Jeans Australia opened its first stores in Sydney in 1996. By 1998 the first franchise stores had been established and today over 425 stores operate in every state and territory in Australia, with 17 in South Australia.

The current owners of Gloria Jeans Australia through their holding company Jireh International Pty Ltd have recently negotiated to purchase the rights from Gloria Jeans America to work in all countries with the exception of the USA and Puerto Rico.

As one of the leading names in the worldwide boom in coffee drinking, Gloria Jeans has rapidly established itself as one of the most recognizable franchises in Australia.

The current owners of this business commenced the business in February 2004. Since that time sales have progressed from a weekly average of around $6,000 to be currently trading in excess of $11,000 per week.

The business won 'Franchise Partner of Year' and 'Local Store Marketing' Awards for South Australia in 2007.

The owners believe that having a quality product to sell, experienced staff and an excellent highly visible centre court location have all contributed to creating a growing loyal customer base.

With one of the largest urban renewal projects in Australia still being developed in the surrounding area the owners firmly believe that the growth pattern already displayed by the business will continue into the future. In support of this, Centro have recently announced $100 million to be spent on the Shopping Centre with work to commence before Christmas and completion due in July 2009.
